It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the Faculty of Medicine, MAHSA University.
It has been four years since the faculty was established and since then we have seen tremendous development in the University, particularly at the faculty.
As the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, I am proud to see these changes taking place: in the growth of the students and staff population, teaching and learning activities as well as research activities.
It has been the responsibility of the faculty to nurture and train aspiring future doctors into a Five-Star doctor who would be knowledgeable, highly skilled, have good communication skills, leadership qualities and be ethical with high moral values. These would be the attributes of MAHSA medical graduates. It is with this hope that they will be able to be globally competitive and contribute to the advancement of the country to be a developed nation by 2020.
In achieving the above attributes the medical faculty is supported by highly qualified and experienced local and international staffs who are also actively involved in research. Our state of the art laboratory facilities and with two of the best hospitals in the country (Hospital Kuala Lumpur and Hospital Sungai Buloh) for the clinical training of our graduates are the pride of the faculty. These learning ambiences are further enhanced by our diverse mix of local and international student population from the Americas, Africa, Asia, Australasia and Europe. I am sure you will find it an interesting and fulfilling environment to work and study in our medical faculty at MAHSA University.
As the Dean, I welcome you to join our team at the faculty as an academic staff or as students and together we will realise its vision of being the preferred private medical institution in the region.
